Case of phishing disguised as a domestic portal login page.

  • AhnLab Security Intelligence Center (ASEC) recently confirmed the distribution of phishing files that mimic the login screens of domestic portal sites. In the past, there have been numerous cases of disguising domestic portal sites, transportation and logistics brands, and webmail login pages. The comparison images used in this article represent the phishing page (left) and the legitimate page (right). [Figure 1] shows a phishing page disguised as Naver’s login page and the legitimate page, while [Figure 2] captures a phishing HTML file distributed under the filename ‘doc003.shtml’ and the legitimate Nate Mail login page side by side. At first glance, they appear almost identical, making it difficult to distinguish between legitimate and phishing pages. This is because the attacker has made them look similar.
